Karolina studied English Philology at the Univerisity of Social Sciences in Warsaw and International Relations with a focus on European Studies at Jagiellonian University Crakow.

Before joining taktonika, Karolina worked in event management and intercultural communication on a wide range of projects in Berlin and Warsaw. Involved in such as Selvedge Run, DMY, Berlin Design Week, Berlin Design Selection in Sao Paulo, Bratislava, Istanbul, Miami and Venice, the Startup Revolution Days in Warsaw and the 3rd Annual Conference Reporting 3.0, her responsibilities included communication, project planning and coordination.

Following her passion for Polish design, for the 2013 DMY International Design Festival in Berlin she worked with the Polish Institute on the special exhibition Polish Design Focus, showcasing and promoting Poland’s innovative and dynamic creative industries.

Bjørn studied architecture at the Technical University Berlin. As a Fulbright scholar and UCLA fellow he received his Master of Architecture II in the masterclass of professor Greg Lynn in collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering.

As a set designer he worked on projects for a number of luxury car manufacturers, premium sportswear brands, as well as music videos for the band Daft Punk. In 2011 he returned to Berlin to open his creative studio out of which taktonika was established in 2019.

Teaching engagements include the Studio for Urban Datascape at the Technical University Berlin as well as the Architectural Association Global School in Paris in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. His work has been published in web and print format and awarded with the Pininfarina Award 2008, AMC Interior of the Year 2012 and Building of the Year 2017 among others.

As a German Spaniard Bjørn grew up trilingual. His childhood in Colombia and Mexico, studying and working in Germany, the US and Japan as well as his second home in the south of Spain have had a strong impact on his work.

Adam is magna cum laude alumnus of Greg Lynn’s studio, dieAngewandte, Vienna. He is also a former resident of MAK Schindler Artist and Architect in Residency program Los Angeles.

In years before helping Bjørn establish taktonika, he worked with Span on Austrian Expo pavilion in Shanghai 2010, and in London at Acme, completing several large-scale projects in the UK and Gulf. Cultivating a philosophy of interdisciplinary approach to design he worked as a set designer and concept artist in Prague’s film industry earning a nomination for the 18th Art Directors Guild Award in the category of production design.

In Prague, Adam has also been teaching at UMPRUM, and was a CIEE Academic Coordinator and Studio Leader at ARCHIP. He has taught design workshops at Lund School of Architecture, CITA Kadk in Copenhagen and Architectural Association Global school in Paris among others.

He exhibited his work with students at the 13th Venice Architectural Biennale as part of the Slovenian Pavilion and his own research at the Experimental Architecture Biennale in Prague and ACADIA conference in LA.

On the side, Adam is a professional photographer, focusing on landscape photography, fashion, and architecture, and is taktonika's resident photographer.

Juan Sebastián studied Architecture at the University of Kassel in Germany, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2021. During his studies, he developed a strong interest in spatial experimentation and interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly in the fields of exhibition design and ephemeral architecture.

He has been involved in various exhibition projects across Germany and Spain, contributing both to the conceptual development of spaces and the physical construction of exhibition architecture. His experience includes close collaboration with artists, curators, professors, and multidisciplinary studios, architecture studios and gallerys such as Arquitectura-G, Beta-Contemporary in Barcelona, and U-lab and Gewerkdesign in Berlin. These collaborations have allowed him to explore the intersection of space, narrative, and materiality within public and cultural contexts.

In addition, he worked as a tutor at the Department of Design and Building Theory at the University of Kassel, supporting students in the development of architectural concepts.

In 2025, he will begin his Master’s in Interior Design at SHIFTA by Elisava in Barcelona, focusing on the atmospheric and functional qualities of interior spaces. His current work continues to explore the boundaries of architecture in dialogue with other disciplines of design and construction.

Benjamin began his architectural studies at Universidad Veritas in Costa Rica before continuing at the Università IUAV di Venezia in Italy. In 2019, he moved to Munich to study at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he spent four years before choosing to pursue his professional path independently.

Guided by a search for new perspectives, he has lived and worked in Costa Rica, Italy, and Germany, collaborating with studios like H2M, Studio Hajek, and ABH Architekten on interdisciplinary projects spanning from concept development to construction.

Detail-driven and focused on creating systems that improve efficiency, Benjamin’s work includes architecture, furniture, and graphic design. Hand drawing remains central to his process—both as a personal creative practice and as a tool for clear communication with clients, engineers, and construction teams.

In 2024, he joined the taktonika team as a Project Architect with a focus on construction and as a BIM specialist, quickly advancing his expertise toward the role of BIM Manager, where he combines technical know-how with a design-oriented mindset.

Stepan studied architecture at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM). He also completed a semester-long internship at François Roche's studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. The experience gained during his studies helped him develop strong skills in computational design, experimentation, storytelling, and an interest in connecting architecture with art and philosophy. His interdisciplinary approach has brought him many opportunities to participate in collective and solo exhibitions — both architectural and artistic — across the Europe as well as to create scenography for music festivals or theater performances.

Among others, he has collaborated with studio New Territories on projects at the Andgewandte Innovation Lab in Vienna, Botanischer Garten in Berlin, and La Défense in Paris, and has also participated with UMPRUM  at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. In 2020 he received the Other Visions Audio Visual Award and was a finalist in the upcoming edition. After graduating he received Josef Hlavka Award and was a finalist for the Jan Kaplicky Internship Award.In addition he has shared his knowledge with students through a lecture at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
